Caring for Caregivers

This year one in five Americans will become a caregiver for someone they love. This is not an illness specific, age specific, ethnic specific need. It affects all of us. Our families. Our friends. Unfortunately, we don’t get our education on how best to serve the needs of our loved ones and ourselves until we have gone through the process.

Having learned these lessons the hard way, my purpose now is to bring awareness and solutions to the needs of caregivers.

This worthwhile organization has been studying the needs of caregivers for decades and have shared their evidence based scientific studies with agencies across the county.

I have volunteered my time as spokesperson to bring awareness to this Institute tas they are working hard to prepare us all for this most important passage in life.

FACEBOOK PAGE - dedicated to sharing possible solutions or, at the very least spark, some ideas within us on how to reach out and lend a hand to a friend or family member who is giving their best to someone else. Join in and use it as a resource or, just as important, leave a note on what they have found useful.
